The latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare playlist update has arrived, and one of the most notable additions is a new 1v1 playlist on a fan-favorite map.
A new playlist called 1v1 Rust is now available as part of the “1v1 Me Bro!” game mode where two players enter the arena to duke it out for bragging rights.
“It’s just you, me, and Rust,” reads the playlist description.
According to a new rumor from gaming website VGC News, they are indicating that “development sources” have informed them that Call of Duty: Warzone is set to release in early March.
Per their article, Warzone is set to be released around Tuesday, March 10. This information and date is not confirmed at the time of this writing.
VGC states their sources tell them that Warzone has been a co-developed project between Infinity Ward and Raven Software, which lines up with many information around the web over the last few months and information that has been mentioned to CharlieIntel.
The report notes that the mode will be unlocked for Modern Warfare owners on the launch day in early March. Per VGC, the company will also then release a free to play standalone version of Warzone with the option to upgrade to the full Modern Warfare experience.
This information is not officially confirmed by Activision at this time. The company has not even acknowledged Warzone as a mode yet, with many information on the mode coming out via leaks and information through data mining of the game’s files.
VGC states that Warzone will support up to 200 players, which matches what we’ve seen too from in-game files.
Update: Industry insider Daniel Ahmad has retweeted VGC’s tweet of the Warzone release happening in early March. Ahmad is well connected in the gaming industry and has accurately leaked information on the gaming industry, including Call of Duty info in the past.

VALENTINES DAY PLAYLIST CHANGES:
The playlist update also has changed some of the playlist names to be themed around Valentine’s Day.
Alongside the name changes, select playlists have Double XP and Double Weapon XP live now in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The playlists that have 2XP and Double Weapon XP live is Double Date and Ready to Mingle.
Double Date playlist is the name for the Gunfight playlist in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
The Infinity Ward team also updated the playlist names in the Quick Play filter:
Following the latest update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on February 11, Infinity Ward added in a feature for Regiments support in the game to allow players to be part of a Clan together directly in-game.
As part of this feature, some users noticed that having tags within Regiments changed the colors of their name plates in games. It has caused issues where enemy players can appear blue because of the name plate changing colors for their Regiments.
Infinity Ward has confirmed now on Reddit that changing name plate colors is not an intended feature but rather a bug that they are actively working to fix ASAP.
Here’s the developers explanation:
Hi everyone –
This is a bug. Colorized names is not intended to be something players can do.
We are doing a pass now to fix regiments that have offending tags set up causing their names to be colorized.
We are also implementing additional protections against the creation of regiments that have invalid characters in their tag.
This should be cleaned up soon – feel free to report players with colorized names and we will take a look.
Infinity Ward’s Art Director has teased on Reddit that a possible new, special skin for weapons is coming in the near future for players who have completed unlocks for weapons.
The developer says that they’ve heard some of the feedback on the changes to the Platinum camo over time and are planning to add an additional special camo in the near future.
Weapons team has been putting max effort into the unlockable camo skins to get you guys to a happy place with the camos you are grinding out.
We also implemented a fix for some of the shinier weapons glaring out in certain spots.
Put a lot of attention on the lobby road so that weapons are showcased on your operators and have the proper amount of light on them.
He also notes that they are hard at work on a new special weapon camo for players, but did not provide details on how players will be ale to unlock or access this camo as of now.
We have a very special new skin we are working on to be added later when its ready;) Ill try and give everyone a heads up when we are getting close.
He also confirmed on Reddit that this is a new camo that will not replace any existing camos in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
Additional new. We would never remove. Only add.
We will keep you updated on when this feature does arrive.
Infinity Ward has confirmed on Reddit that they plan to make a button to easily clear all the new green dots in the MP menu that has many fans going crazy.
The green dots showcase new items available once you rank up or continue to unlock new items, but in many cases, the green dot stays on screen regardless of going through all the menus.
There is no ETA for this feature. Infinity Ward says they want it in the “near future” but don’t have the final dates for it yet.
Bugs aside with the green bread crumb. We are pushing to get a clear all current green dots in the menus button. Hoping sometime in the near future stay tuned.
This will hopefully alleviate having to go through every single menu item to see what’s new in Modern Warfare after a match.
Details about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare‘s rumored battle royale mode, Warzone, continue to leak. The latest details come from the Twitter user @CaptainBadfoot who claims they were randomly tossed into the Warzone lobby where the “training” mode is available alongside new menus that reveal some of what to expect from the mode.
A video from the training mode shows that Warzone will reportedly include a version of the “ping” system that Apex Legends popularized, and Fortnite later added. The Twitter user also found screens that shows there will be a “Trios” variant where three people play together as they fight to be the last team standing. Warzone will also reportedly feature solo, doubles, and quads.
He also posted an image of a screen that shows the vehicles that will be available in Warzone, which include ATVs, SUVs, helicopters, cargo trucks, and tactical rovers.
